Event description

Description

*This event is open to HPMA London Academy members only*

This is useful for people who have done workshop 1 – and there will be a catch up for those who haven’t. This day goes beyond the contract and will focus on exploring and listening in a way that enables the other person to generate new thinking. You will be even more useful as a thinking partner and have some good ideas about what to do when you know you're going round in circles.

Target audience:

HR & OD practitioners who are already using a coaching approach in their conversations with managers and their own team, as well as those who would like to develop their coaching skills to use with managers or their team.

Session aims and objections:

  • Recap/ introduction to starting a conversation well

  • Focus on exploring and listening in a way that enables the other person to generate new thinking

  • Receive and give feedback

  • Make conversations more effective for the organisation

Facilitator:

Claire Pedrick MCC,

Claire Pedrick is Managing Partner of 3D Coaching who bring together the simplest and best learning from coaching to support people in organisations to have more effective conversations with an edge. They also develop internal and external coaches through training, masterclasses and mentoring. Claire has been coaching for 30 years, is a Master Certified Coach (ICF) and a Coaching Supervisor (Bath Consulting Group) and coaches leaders. She believes that the essence of coaching is simple and that it takes time to learn to work that simply.

3D take the simplest and most effective parts of coaching to train people to have high quality conversations. Everything we teach we demonstrate. And you will always go away with something you can apply in the next conversation you have at work.

3D is a small community of experienced coaches and trainers established in 1999. We are structured as a public benefit company. Most of our work is commissioned by organisations. We run a handful of open programmes each year to meet the needs of independent coaches, smaller organisations and sole traders.

Competencies covered:

The session will address Capacity Builder at level 2/3 from our HR Competency Framework.
