This pilot workshop will be delivered as a 90 minute webinar. Coaches who register for this event will be sent a link to join the workshop online from their laptop, tablet or mobile so that you can access it in a location that is convenient for you. This interactive online workshop will define what we mean by fatigue, explore the multifactorial causes of fatigue and explore how you as a coach can reduce the likelihood of your athletes suffering from fatigue-related injuries and illnesses.

By the end of the workshop coaches will:
• Understand what is meant by ‘fatigue’ and recognise its impact on physical output and susceptibility to illnesses and injuries
• Identify methods for monitoring fatigue
• Understand the difference between overtraining and acute overreaching
• Understand how to manage fatigue through periodisation of training
• Understand of the role that nutrition, travel, sleep and active recovery sessions play on fatigue
