Coaching. Where music meets poetry

Art-making can be a magical way to reflect on our coaching work in a way that nurtures and sustains, liberating our imagination and courage.
About this event
Coaching is ephemeral and fleeting, here now and gone then,
A delicate, creative tracing of call and response,
Of blind alleys,
Of paths taken and paths not taken.
What if artists not only knew every answer but every question?
How would you hold space for them, knowing they'd got there before you?
How would you tell the stories of your adventures?
What would those stories tell you? What would they mean?
What if the answer to every question was Art?
In these complex and often difficult times, coaches need to be supported and encouraged as never before. Creative Coach, Supervisor and Teacher Auriel Majumdar and experienced coach, tutor and consultant Stephen Brown believe that making Art is a magical way to reflect on our coaching work in a way that nurtures and sustains, liberating our imagination and courage. Join Stephen and Auriel in conversation as Stephen shares his latest musical piece capturing his reflections on how coaching sessions flow and Auriel responds with her poetry. Together they will explore the creative making process and what might get in the way, discuss vulnerability and the fear of rejection and celebrate the insights into coaching that artistic reflection facilitates.
Bring along your curiosity and an open mind and we hope you will leave uplifted and inspired to follow your own path into creative reflection.
