This 2-hour session is designed to introduce the basics of throwing on a pottery wheel with the objective of making your own stoneware plant pot.
What you'll learn:
- Basic Wheel setup and functionality
- Step-by-step guide to centering clay, opening the clay and forming the desired shape
- Hands-on practice: Practice centering and throwing plant pot shapes (While receiving personalised instructions and troubleshooting)
Finishing:
Firings will be handled by the instructor, Dawson Edwards.
Additional information:
Suitable for beginners - no experience needed.
The session is two hours long, including time for instruction, demonstration and hands-on experience.
Participants will be expected to assist in the clean-up at the end of the session.
