Event description
A series of presentations and workshops throughout March focused on the heritage and culture of the west coast of Scotland as part of COAST

About this Event

Join us throughout March for a series of presentations and workshops which explore the heritage and culture of the west coast of Scotland. Between the 1st - 22nd March we invite you to tell us your stories of the west coast by being part of these thematic and regional sessions.

THEMATIC

The west coast of Scotland has a wonderful array of heritage and culture, architecture and environments, and stories of migrations to and from the region. These thematic sessions, focused around the six themes of architecture, environment, culture, migrations, industries and histories, will have a series of speakers discuss the theme of the day before we gather around a virtual table to highlight 'your stories' around the same theme.

These will be online workshops and held on Zoom. The sessions will take place between 11am - 1pm on the 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th and 22nd March. For more information on speakers for each session please visit our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

REGIONAL

As part of COAST we have been working closely with local story gatherers throughout the west coast of Scotland. The regional sessions will hear from some of the local story gatherers as well as provide the opportunity for you to tell us your 'stories' about communities, places, people and happenings throughout the west coast of Scotland.

These sessions will be online workshops and held on Zoom. The sessions will take place between 2 - 4pm on the 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th and 22nd March. For more information on each session and the regions we will be exploring please visit our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
