This course is exclusively for ISACA Ireland Chapter members only.

Participants will delve into the essential components of COBIT 5 to learn how it covers the business end-to-end. It should help you and your organisation effectively govern and manage Enterprise IT. Developed for anyone interested in obtaining foundation-level knowledge of COBIT, the course explains the COBIT framework and supporting materials in a logical and example-driven approach. The Foundation examination is a gateway for advancement to COBIT 5 Implementer or Assessor training and examinations. The Chapter intends to offer the Implementation and Assessor courses in the fourth quarter of this year (subject to demand)

Participants will learn more about:

  • How IT management issues are affecting organizations
  • The need for an effective framework to govern and manage Enterprise IT
  • How COBIT is used with other standards and best practices
  • The functions that COBIT provides and the benefits of using COBIT
  • How to apply COBIT in a practical situation


Course Timetable: (This is a two-and half day Course).

Thursday - 28th June 2018 - 09:00 to 17:00
Friday 29th June 2018 – 09:00 to 17:00

The formal proctored examination on Saturday 30th June 2018 - 11:00 to 15:00 will be held in Dublin - Location to be confirmed. If there is sufficient demand, the Chapter intends to hold a formal proctored exam in Belfast on Sunday 1st July. (Subject to Demand)

Registration for the exam will start at 10:30 on 30th June and lunch will be provided.

The course is essentially free as the €160 payment is for the exam fee & the Chapter is covering all other costs.

No substitutions or refunds will be possible less than 30 days before the event. This is because examinations have to be booked in advance on an individual named basis.

Attendees will earn 18 CPE hours.

Please note that the cut off date for registration is 9th June 2018. Exams have to be ordered on an individual named basis with a three week lead time for processing and physical delivery.
