Description

From 23rd - 29th March, the Great British Non-Native Species Secretariat (GBNNSS) are hosting a national Invasive Species Week; you can find more information on this event by clicking here.

Here at Capturing our Coast Southwest, we wanted to add to the search for invasive species in the marine environment, and the Three Bays Wildlife Group are helping us search for Marine Invaders at this specially organised event!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

This Marine Invasive Species Search will be volunteer-led, so if you'd like to go along to help with this search, all attendees must be registered CoCoast volunteers (register at www.capturingourcoast.co.uk).

Please meet at the Portholland Car Park (PL26 6NA) at 11:00, ready to hear down to the shore to start searching!

If you think you might arrive a little late, please meet the group down on the shore.

If you would like to take a look at our Marine Invaders timed surveys beforehand, please feel free to click here for more information on what you can help us search for.

Don't forget your wellies, waterproofs, warm clothing, snacks and/or a packed lunch and a pencil!

Although this is a great chance to add to the Marine Invaders dataset, we're keen for everyone to enjoy themselves, get to know each other and gain valuable experience along the way!

If you have any questions in advance of this event, feel free to get in touch: cocoast@mba.ac.uk.
