Code Club: Train a Trainer
Sat 28 May 2016, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
The Code Club Train a Trainer workshop is delivered by MadLab in order to provide people with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to create and run their own Code Club.
Code Club is a nationwide network of volunteer-led after school code clubs for children aged 9 -11. While the majority of code clubs are run in schools, as long as you have the passion and enthusiasm, and a venue that you can use, then anyone can organise their own code club in their area.
The Train a Trainer workshop will cover:
How to set up a Code Club
Working with children
Helping children learn
An introduction to programming
How to get support
Example Scratch projects and peer to peer learning
This session is just £5 to reserve, which is fully refundable on completion of the workshop (or you can choose to make it a donation to MadLab). To reserve your place, book directly on this page using the green button. Lunch is provided at no extra cost.
