The Club will run every Wednesday 5-6pm until the 19th October, (please book onto each week's individual Eventbrite, which are sent out the week before)
Code Club is a nationwide network of free volunteer-led after school coding clubs for children aged 9-11. There are a number of projects to teach children how to program by showing them how to make computer games, animations and websites.
This is our second term of Code Club, we will be continuing in Scratch (Module 2) and then hopefully move onto some HTML and CSS later in the term. We also will be exploring the new BBC Micro:Bit at intervals across the term, introducing our club members to even more exciting experiences using code!
Our goal is to inspire children to build and share their ideas, learning along the way.
We want children to leave Code Club inspired to pursue other digital making activities, whether that’s in their spare time, in school or as a career.
We want them to gain skills that are useful to them - not only learning to program, but also learning about computational thinking, problem solving, planning, designing and collaboration.
