As part of our Evolution of Technology Season we are pleased to annouce our CODE MONSTERS event this Halloween! Fancy dress is encouraged!

What?

This spook-tastic event is perfect for little monsters who are 6-14yrs. We would ask that big monsters accompany them on the day. Drop in any time between 10am and 2pm.

What to expect?

• The finch is a small, lifelike robot packed with sensors! Can you reprogram its brain and teach it to interact with the world?

• How many ghosts can you catch? Create your own ghost-catching game using Code Club's Ghostbusters Scratch project

• Block Parties will be providing awesome entertainment in the form of themed LEGO® games and challenges. Test your skills to see if you can recreate Zombie Steve from Minecraft, a scary Creeper or even your own terrifying creations...

• Maker Space will be hosting a pumpkin carving workshop - BYOP (bring your own pumpkin!). They also have a reaction timer, infinity mirror and 3D printer!

• Raspberry Pi's with Minecraft: We will be using Python to add new items to a Minecraft world!

• Trigger Treat! We will be using Python to program some ghoulish monsters to scare your parents with!

• Kirsty from Success 4 All will guide you in building your own Lego Robot and show you how to programme it using Scratch!

• The MaKey Makey Station: We will be using Makey Makeys to make a fruit based drum kit

• Create your own Electro Monster using conductive dough

• Our face painter will get you trick-or-treat ready with terror-iffic designs!
