About this event

  • Event lasts 8 hours 30 minutes

What is it?

Demo Days are CodeBase’s new flagship showcase event, open to the public and covering all our activity across the tech ecosystem. This will be a chance to see the work we’ve been doing across our different programmes, take part in important discussions about the tech ecosystem, and hear about the best new startups emerging in Scotland!

What can I expect?

We’ve got an exciting, full day planned with a mix of activities! Participants from our newly launched Catalyst programme will be pitching their startups and discussing the support they’ve received from CodeBase along the way. In addition to this, we’ll have panel discussions on our different programmes, a fireside chat about driving economic growth through ecosystem development, as well as networking opportunities for key players in the ecosystem and founders in attendance.

We’ll be stopping regularly for comfort breaks and refreshments throughout and taking a longer 90 minute break in the middle of the day with lunch provided. A detailed agenda will be shared with you soon!

Who will be there?

This event is open to the public and we encourage anyone in the tech and startup ecosystem in Scotland to join us for the day. In attendance will be: participants and alumni from our programmes, key players in the tech ecosystem, representatives from the Scottish Government, as well as CodeBase partners, staff, Mentors, and our Entrepreneurs in Residence.

When and where is this taking place?

This event will take place on Thursday the 19th of June in The Social Hub at 15 Candleriggs Square, Glasgow, G1 1TQ. The main portion of the day will be starting around 10:00 in the main auditorium and wrapping up 16:00 - with time before and after for networking . See the full agenda for more details on timings for the day!

We’ll be using the main auditorium and the restaurant/bar area for this event, both of which are on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible. A hearing loop system is also available in the auditorium for any attendees that require it. If you have any other concerns or requests around accessibility, please let us know through the Eventbrite order form or get in touch directly.

If you’re joining us by car, the nearest available parking will be NCP Glasgow King St and Q-Park Candelriggs, both just a short walk from the venue. Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations are also within walking distance for those joining us by train.

Registration

We ask everyone to sign up individually, so we can have an estimate of how many people want to attend; this will allow us to prevent food waste by avoiding over-catering. Please cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.

We also encourage everyone to sign up individually so we know of any accessibility requirements in advance.
