Description:
What happens when you treat code like poetry, or maths like movement?
Join Vi (they/ze) for a playful, beginner-friendly introduction to creative coding - a space where logic, art, and curiosity meet.
This two-hour workshop is designed for LGBTQIA+ young adults aged 16+ who are curious about how to use coding as a way of making visual art. You don’t need to have any experience with coding or maths, just a willingness to experiment.
We’ll explore:
- What creative coding is and what it can do
- How simple code can become shapes, patterns, and motion
- How coding can be used as a tool for self-expression and resistance
- A hands-on project to create your own generative artwork
This session treats coding not as a technical skill to master but as a playful, artistic medium that anyone can try. Whether you’re into art, tech, or neither, you’ll leave with something you’ve made and the tools to keep exploring.
