Coding & Robotics With Mako Create | 6 week | Halton Youth Project

6-week project for young people from Halton Borough. Participants will take part in a variety of coding and robotics programming workshops.
About this event
This project is part of our Creative, Digital & Wellbeing activities in Halton, funded by Halton Borough Council.
During this six-week project, the young people participating will develop both creative and technological coding skills. They will also learn about possible pathways into creative careers and get inspiration for other future endeavours.
The range of activities on offer includes things like:
- Learning to plan, code, and experiment with robotics
- Developing code to design flight paths for a drone
- Design and build obstacle courses, develop code to navigate the courses
- Creative coding
Who can get involved?
We are looking for young people from Halton aged 10-18 who have an interest in creativity, robotics and computer coding.
There are a maximum of 12 places available for participants in this project.
When does the project start?
This project is made up of 6 weekly, 2-hour sessions. The sessions will be held after-school on Wednesdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm:
- 8th June
- 15th June
- 22nd June
- 29th June
- 6th July
- 13th July
Where will the sessions take place?
The sessions will take place at Transform Widnes St Paul's Church Hall, Victoria Rd, Widnes WA8 7QU, UK
What equipment should I bring?
Mako Create will bring all of the equipment needed to participate in this session.
