Event description

Description

Are you a teacher and wondering what you can do with the BBC micro:bit in your lessons? Perhaps you're a student wanting to know how your BBC micro:bit works? Maybe you have a different coding device and want to see the similarities or why not just come along to improve your coding skills?

The Institution of Engineering and Technology is once again running this popular event at IET London: Savoy Place to inspire and inform the general public about the BBC micro:bit and how you can learn to code with it and program it to do some really cool stuff!

This event is part of the IET's Engineering Open House Day where you can work your way around our BBC micro:bit zones to not only have fun but also challenge your perceptions about careers in engineering and digital technology.

Drop in at any point throughout the day to discover what you can create with the BBC micro:bit; tour the Savoy Place building for a look around the amazing, global engineering and technology hub; as well as enjoy some of the other practical activities being run by our partner organisations.

Other activities include the national robotics science and technology challenge, First Lego League, and coding club CoderDojo, as well as demonstrations from Robot Wars team Glitterbomb and virtual reality company Curiscope.

Come and join our code crew and find out more! This event is free but registration is essential.
