A half day of training aimed at local practioners working with people that may have experienced domestic abuse. The course will be of particular interest to professionals that would like to understand coercive control, what the new legislation is about and how to improve practice when supporting victims experiencing this type of abuse.
- To identify and increase understanding of coercive control where there is domestic abuse and sexual violence.
- To identify and increase understanding around the definition of coercive control and new legislation.
- To identify and increase understanding of the short & long term effects of coercive control within an abusive relationship.
- To improve practice when responding to the needs of victims experiencing coercive control where domestic or sexual abuse has been identified.
