Join us for Coffee & Coding: Building a Python Package for Reproducible Statistical Tables

“Coffee and Coding” is an initiative to nurture, enable and encourage a vibrant, supportive and inclusive coding community. The idea is to provide a regular opportunity for people who are interested in coding to share skills and knowledge, provide advice and guidance to each other and generally network and get to know each other. "Coffee and Coding" is a friendly space for all to chat about coding within ONS. No expert knowledge or extensive skills required.

Due to the current working from home situation, Coffee & Coding from across ONS are combining to arrange cross-site virtual Coffee & Coding sessions. This will be the first of these virtual sessions.

Google Hangouts will be used for this session - you will receive the link in the confirmation email you receive when you register for the event.

This session will include:

- Good Practice Tables (David Foster). Good Practice Tables (gptables) is a Python package for reproducibly writing statistical tables, which makes it easy to follow good practice guidance. This beginner-to-intermediate session will discuss why reproducibility is important and will introduce how creating and using packages can assure reproducibility in your analyses.
