Coffee and Job Club

Everybody will, at some point, be searching for work. It can be tiring, stressful, exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. It also involves a lot of time on your own, so it can be isolating.

Responsible Business Network, Business in the Community, can help people on their job search and runs a weekly online Coffee and Job Club for people:

- Over the age of 50;

- Who live in Scotland;

- Who are unemployed or looking for a career change.

The Coffee and Job Club offers a weekly check-in, to meet others in the same circumstances. We also focus on certain topics during these sessions, including confidence, resilience, staying motivated and goal setting.

We approach searching for work as a process. For some, it may only be a few weeks, for others, a few months. Having a consistent check in every week through the Coffee and Job Club - where you can share the ups and downs of the journey - can help you stay on track and feel supported.

What will you need?

Once you choose your dates and sign-up via this Eventbrite page, you will receive a secure Zoom joining link. For the club, you'll need;

- Yourself,

- A device that lets you use Zoom, such as a laptop, tablet or phone.

- A coffee and pastry won't go amiss either.

If you need help setting up Zoom on your device, we can have a phone call with you in advance of the Job Club, to go through everything.
