Coiled Basketry Workshop

Make a your own coiled basketry coaster or bowl by binding or sewing a thread, yarn, fabric or plant fibres around a core material. Learn a range of techniques and stitches from around the world to make a variety of patterns, experiment with colour and material combinations. Depending on the desired size of your coiled basket, you may need to complete it at home.

All materials and equipment are provided. If you have any fabric, yarn or other suitable basketry fibres that you would like to use in your project, you are welcome to bring them.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and the number of participants is limited to 10.
