An expert Member panel from the Association of Women Art Dealers will be discussing collaborating with hospitality venues to exhibit and sell art. Venues such as hotels, restaurants, private clubs, etc can provide a great showcase for artists and help you reach new audiences. What are the opportunities and potential pitfalls of exhibiting and selling art in such venues. How do you make the relationships work well for all involved - gallerists, advisors, artists, clients and venues?

MK Semos, DECORAZON Gallery - Speaker
MK Semos is the co-owner of DECORAZON: from the heart - an international contemporary art gallery with current presence in New York City, London, and Dallas. Its mission is to present professional emerging and mid-career talent to a new or experienced collector, with a selective and innovative program. MK is also an AWAD Board Member, responsible for Membership and Engagement.
Cynthia Valianti Corbett - Speaker
Cynthia Valianti Corbett has led the way as a prominent gallerist and dealer in the contemporary art world for almost twenty years.
Born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Cynthia studied at the University of Massachusetts (B.A. Political Science) and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts and Harvard Universities (M.A. Law and Diplomacy). She went on to establish a career as a successful international economist, specialising in emerging markets. Landmark projects included her role as the founder and architect of the debt conversion plans for most of Sub-Saharan Africa throughout the 1980s.
Having relocated to the UK in 1986, Cynthia decided on a career change in 2000, focusing on raising her daughter and retraining as an art historian and curator at Christie’s Education Institute (RSA-Christie’s Education Diploma in Modern and Contemporary Art). She launched her gallery in 2004 and is a founding Member of AWAD.
Susan J Mumford, Founder & CEO of AWAD - Moderator
Susan is the Founder & CEO of AWAD. She is a sector-supporting entrepreneur for the art market. Arriving in the UK from the USA, Susan ran a London gallery from 2006-2011. When the art world entered a new dynamic following the 2008 credit crunch she founded AWAD in 2009. This was followed Be Smart About Art, an online professional develoment platform. In 2018, she co-founded ArtAML, a leading technology platform supporting the art market with compliance obligations.
