We're bringing together VCSE & support organisations from across North Tyneside to collaborate, learn and share.
About this event
As we enter 2019, Moving On Tyne & Wear is hosting a half-day event to bring together those providing support to the people of North Tyneside. It's a chance to meet, make new contacts, learn about other organisations and individuals who may benefit the people you work with, and ultimately learn something new.
What you can expect
- Stalls from local organisations including VODA and North Tyneside Council
- Speakers from local organisations tackling issues relating to our area
- A discussion panel with Moving On Tyne & Wear participants who've benefited from services across Tyne & Wear. What worked & what could be improved?
- A chance to network and meet others
- Opportunities to set goals and make a commitment to 2019
Agenda
- 1:30pm - 2pm : arrival and refreshments
- 2pm - 3pm: opening from Lord Mayor Norma Redfearn CBE followed by initial speakers
- 3pm - 3:20pm: break and refreshments
- 3:20pm - 3:50pm: panel with local employer and service users from North Tyneside
- 3:50pm-4:30pm: networking and an opportunity to visit all stall holders

About Moving On Tyne & Wear (MOTW)
We support people in Tyne and Wear who are aged 18+ and out of work due to physical and/or mental health issues. We also help our participants address other barriers, such as long-term unemployment, debt, low skills, or housing issues, through one-to-one support.
Our support includes:
- one-to-one support
- advice on health and wellbeing & sign-posting to relevant local services
- access to training, including funding support
- volunteering, work placements and trials
- support with job searching, application forms, CV writing, and job interview skills
- self-employment advice
MOTW is funded by the Big Lottery and European Social Fund.
