About this event

Charity & Causes • Other

Charities and third sector organisations are facing difficult challenges in the current economic climate.

Funders are increasingly looking for evidence of collaborations and partnerships in applications.

Third sector and community organisations are seeing collaborations and partnerships as a key part of their sustainability strategy as part of their attempt to keep facilities open, deliver projects, reduce overheads and share resources, whether that’s people, property or funds, or all three.

Borders Community Action is collaborating with the Co-Op to deliver a series of forums across the Borders involving funders, partner organisations and members, to share challenges and opportunities and create discussion around the benefit of partnerships and collaborations.

This series is a follow up to our successful Mergers, Partnerships and Collaborations event held in May.

This is an opportunity to join funders, charities, groups, public and third sector organisations, to share ideas and thinking on how innovative joint ways of working can function as a key resource for charities and groups considering or planning on collaborating or partnering with other organisations.

We envisage that these events will create a space for sharing of skills, knowledge and resources that can lead to the creation of solutions and increase awareness, impact and fundraising.

In Selkirk we will be joined by Neal Bennison from The National Lottery, Claire Martin and Harry Whitmore from DTAS and representatives from SBC and SOSE.

(The Borders Community Action AGM will follow at 6.15pm)
