Event description

Description

Who is it for?

Anyone who works in teams and with other professionals: employers, employees, managers, trainers, executives and HR personnel seeking solutions to respond to a rapidly changing business environment in which corporate values and social impact is increasingly on top of the agenda. The fundamental concept is how to create values-driven teams and organisations in an effort to contribute to the evolution of thought in the field of business that will enable them to reach a growing number of like-minded people looking to build a better world.

Overview

How do we transform ourselves and organisations to contribute towards the betterment of society? What is the result of placing values and principles at the centre of working practices and business management? By taking a multi-faceted view of the features of values-driven enterprises, we will inspire and challenge participants to take their next steps in executing the personal and organisational transformations essential for personal and business prosperity. The maturation of human society requires interdependence, in which self-interest gives way to shared interest and collaboration becomes more important than individual control. Businesses, organisations and professionals can make a great contribution to this goal.

Content

Led by an expert panel of speakers, we will address the fundamentals of values-driven enterprises, organisational and team ethos and human-centred product design, inspiring us to make our own contribution to organisational practice and culture.

1. How can values and human qualities like cooperation and empathy be adopted within teams to change the way we design products and services with a view to transforming the lives of individuals?
2. How do organisations not only yield private but social returns? How do we move towards conceptions of human capital that see the inherent nobility in individuals and stimulate employees to transform their workplace environments?
3. How do we imbue organisational work with a meaningful purpose, rally the troops around that purpose, and create environments of unity towards a shared goal?
4. How do we not just drive growth but the right type of growth, a sustainable growth, a growth that benefits all and not just a few? What values should our brands and services convey, and what are the implications for the services we deliver and the messages we send to our clients?
5. What does all the above imply for organisational and team culture and stakeholders, both internal and external?

The combination of stimulating, thought-provoking content delivered in an interactive format by leading businesspeople and academics, with networking, makes this the premier conference on organisational transformation.

The event is organised at conference suite 110 Rochester Row, for venue pictures click here.

Attendees will receive a free copy of Harvard Business Review magazine as very kindly donated by them.

Keynote Speakers

Hosted by Omid Djalili, the day will consist of keynote speakers who will present stimulating thoughts and ideas followed by Q&As and group discussions. We aim to create a conference that goes beyond high ideals and fosters an action-oriented mindset, whereby, once knowledge has been gained, participants will be inspired in the days following the conference to take practical steps, however modest, to contribute to the transformation of their workplace.

- Nava Ashraf, Director at the Marshall Institute, LSE
