Collaged Connections: A Zine-Making Workshop by Pita Santos

We’re hosting a very special zine-making collage workshop with Manchester-based creative, Pita Santos (aka Pitahpat), focusing on fostering bonds and friendships among POC.

We'll be facilitating a safe space for discussion that invites participants to explore their shared experiences and mutual understanding as people of colour surrounding the theme of joy. Everyone will leave with a zine inspired by conversations – a tangible reminder of the bonds we’ve built and the creativity we’ve shared, with a focus on friendship and joy as an act of resistance.

We encourage participants to bring their own images, such as things that bring them joy or anything that can spark conversation. This can be images of people, food, objects etc.

Who can attend:

POC / Black / Asian / BAME / Global Majority only.

16 years and above. No prior experience is needed, all abilities are welcome. Making materials are supplied!

ABOUT PITA:

Pita Santos (also known as Pitahpat) is a queer Filipino illustrator, graphic designer, and creative facilitator based in Manchester. Their multidisciplinary practice blends analogue and digital methods to create vibrant, identity-driven work.

Pita’s work aims to amplify underrepresented voices, create inclusive creative spaces, and bridge cultural divides through illustration, zine-making, and collaborative publishing (pitahpat.com).
