Did you know there are over 11,000 Chinese objects in Durham University’s Oriental Museum? The collection is not just sizeable but also significant, being Designated by Arts Council England. How did a small northern town like Durham come to have such a large and important Chinese collection? In this talk, Qin will discuss her curation of the Chinese collection at the Oriental Museum, from its formation history, recent research, to public dissemination to diverse audiences.
