Overview

Collection Day at PRONI gives the public an opportunity to speak to PRONI staff about their own historical records

Join us at PRONI for our first ever Collection Day!


Have you ever thought about depositing historical records you hold at home with PRONI? Or considered having them digitised by PRONI and allowing us to preserve copies and make them available to the public? Ever wanted some advice on storing your records at home? We want to hear from you!


Collection Day at PRONI gives the public an opportunity to speak with PRONI staff members about historical records they hold at home. Collection Day gives PRONI staff the opportunity to explain what options people have if they want to deposit records with us.


We would like see examples of the following types of records:

  • Photographs
  • Diaries
  • Letters
  • Artwork (sketchbooks, scrapbooks, collages etc.)
  • Promotional material created by specific groups


We cannot accept the following:

  • Newspapers
  • Books
  • Family histories
  • Photocopies
  • Records that are in very poor condition
