Event description
Meet six of London's most exciting social ventures

About this Event

Join us to hear the inspiring stories of 6 social entrepreneurs as they pitch their business at the close of The Collective London Accelerator 2019.

We invite venture capital firms, angel investors, partners, leaders and influencers to meet our cohort and engage with our network over a light breakfast.

The companies pitching make up the cohort for Collective London Accelerator 2019, a 12-week programme in which they have been coached in strengthening their strategy, honing their brand, scaling their operations, measuring their impact and growing their business overall.

The Companies

Our companies have been selected from hundreds of applicants for the quality of their business ideas, and strength of their impact. The theme of the 2019 cohort is 'Creating thriving communities'.

Nemi Teas

NEMI Teas is a social enterprise focused on empowering refugees by providing them with employment and leadership opportunities through selling luxury 100% eco-friendly, plastic-free and biodegradable teabags and loose-tea across the UK.

The Ocean Bottle

The Ocean Bottle is a durable reusable water bottle with a twist. Each sale funds the collection of 11.368kgs (1000 plastic bottles) of ocean bound plastic in selected impoverished communities that contribute the most plastic to our oceans.

BuddyHub exists to reduce loneliness and isolation in older people (50+) and promote a more active lifestyle. By using smart technology we better and more efficiently match one ‘Member ’ to three ‘Buddy’ volunteers, helping to create a new, real world sustainable friendship circle that is rewarding for everyone.

House of Cinn/Street Cafe

Street Café is a social justice initiative that aims to eradicate homelessness. It is run by volunteers who carry out street outreach and host weekly breakfast and dinner sessions for the homeless community in and around London to integrate them back in society through social connection and building community.

House of Cinn is a newly launched social enterprise branch that sells baked goods to fund the expansion of Street Cafe by providing a phased transition into accommodation, employment and financial stewardship.

A recruitment platform addressing gender inequality by giving companies the tools to attract and hire top mid-senior level female talent.

Project Access

Project Access is a global non-profit start-up fighting inequalities in admissions to top universities through a tech-enabled mentoring program.
