Event description

Cardiff University Special Collections and Archives, with generous support and funding from the Collingwood and British Idealism Centre, is hosting a two-day conference to celebrate the Collingwood Archive and the year-long project to catalogue it.

The conference will coincide with the launch of our celebratory exhibition of treasures from the Collingwood Archive. Thanks to funds received from a National Cataloguing Grant (The National Archives) and the National Manuscripts Conservation Trust to open up the Archive through cataloguing and conservation, this exhibition will be the first time many of the magnificent items from the Collingwood Archive will be available for public viewing.

The conference will take place in Cardiff University’s Main Building (Park Place) and Special Collections and Archives (Arts and Social Studies Library, Colum Drive). Refreshments during the conference (coffee/tea/lunch) will be provided. If you have any dietary requirements, please email Judith ( in advance of the conference.

Mae Archifau a Chasgliadau Arbennig Prifysgol Caerdydd – gyda chymorth ariannol hael gan Ganolfan Collingwood a Delfrydiaeth Prydain – yn cynnal cynhadledd dau ddiwrnod o hyd i ddathlu Archif Collingwood a’r prosiect blwyddyn o hyd i’w rhestru.

Bydd y gynhadledd yn cyd-daro â lansiad ein harddangosfa ddathliadol o drysorau Archif Collingwood. Yr arddangosfa hon fydd cyfle cyntaf y cyhoedd i weld llawer o'r eitemau gwych o Archif Collingwood.

Cynhelir y gynhadledd ym Mhrif Adeilad Prifysgol Caerdydd (Plas y Parc) ac Archifau a Chasgliadau Arbennig (Llyfrgell y Celfyddydau ac Astudiaethau Cymdeithasol, Rhodfa Colum). Darperir lluniaeth yn ystod y gynhadledd (coffi/te/cinio). Os oes gennych unrhyw ofynion dietegol, anfonwch ebost at Judith ( cyn y gynhadledd.
