A collograph is a collage of different materials glued onto a matrix of card or wood, which is then printed. This is a fun workshop exploring the magic of printmaking in a quick easy affordable way.

Suitable for beginners

Katherine Jones will be giving a brief introduction and showing participants examples of collagraph prints. The remainder of the day will be taken up with a practical demonstration of making and printing quick intaglio prints using a combination of simple collagraph and block-print techniques. Participants will then be able to make and print their own plates. The session will include tips on wiping, printing and maintaining the plates and there will be plenty of time for questions during the session.

The session is run by a professional experienced artists in our wonderful airy printmaking studio situated a few minutes from Blackhorse Road tube station in Walthamstow. All materials included.
