Colour Discovery Workshop — Interior Design Made Simple
Overview
A hands-on workshop designed to help you think about colour the way a designer does.
If colour has ever felt overwhelming — paint charts, undertones, finishes that looked right in the shop but wrong at home — this workshop will help you understand why that happens, and how designers avoid it.
The Colour Discovery Workshop is a calm, practical session focused on process over perfection. Rather than choosing colours in isolation, you’ll learn how designers test, compare and refine colour decisions using context, materials and light.
This isn’t about being given the “right answers”.
It’s about learning how to make confident decisions yourself.
What you’ll experience
You’ll work through a series of guided exercises using real colour and material samples, learning to:
- see undertones more clearly
- understand why colours behave differently in different spaces
- test combinations before committing
- build a small, intentional palette using a designer-led process
The emphasis is on how designers think — not rushing to a finished result.
What you’ll leave with
✔ A clear understanding of how designers approach colour decisions
✔ A small, exploratory colour palette created through testing and comparison
✔ Greater confidence reading undertones and spotting clashes
✔ A repeatable process you can apply at home
✔ The ability to slow down and make decisions with more clarity
(This workshop focuses on skill-building rather than finalising a specific room scheme.)
