An online talk about sourcing textile dyes from the Scottish landscape.
Online
Join Carole Keepax and the Grampian Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers in learning about the natural dyes available to us in our gorgeous Scottish landscape.
Carole will be talking us through what plants and materials are available to us to use as natural dyes. How they are prepared and the practical aspects of using them to dye our own yarns and textiles. Carole has a lot of experience as a natural dyer and will be answering questions on the process.
There is a subsequent practical workshop with Carole to put some of this knoweldge to the test.
This is currently sold out through Eventbrite (due to the limits they place on charitable organisations free ticket numbers) there are plenty of spots available and we will publish joining instructions on our facebook page for guild members (and those of you interested in joining):
