Let me live

LET ME LIVE is a fundraising organisation put together by my family.

Two years ago when my brother Dylan was 11 he became very ill and was diagnosed with a very rare disease called fanconi anemia and needed intensive chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. During this process the lack of bone marrow donors became very apparent ( less than 1% of the worlds population are on the bone marrow register).

People don't realise the need for donors and if they do they often fear what a bone marrow transplant entails.
You can donate your stem cells in two ways. Nearly 90% of people donate their stem cells quickly and easily in a process similar to giving blood.

Let me live aims to create awareness of fanconi anemia and the desperate need for bone marrow donors.

LET ME LIVE supports

The Royal Marsden cancer charity, who Dylan is still under the care of and where he had his transplant

The Anthony Nolan trust (A UK bone marrow register which helps to find donors across the world)

Clic Sargent for children with cancer.

The Children with Cancer fund, the amazing local charity in Polegate who provide happiness and joy for children whose lives have been changed by illness with cancer and bone marrow transplants.
