Event description

Description

Join the Malvern Hills AONB Partnership and Colwall Orchard Group on a trail designed to discover the wonders of orchard heritage at the foot of the Malvern Hills.

For many years the village of Colwall was a productive centre for the growing, harvesting and processing of fruit. The landscape today provides clues to this history. This guided walk will take you on a journey to uncover these clues and tell the story of how orchards became so important to Colwall and why they are still relevant today.

The Colwall Orchard Heritage Trail is a 2.8 mile circular walk that begins at Colwall train station where there is usually space to park if you arrive by car. The trail is on easy pathways with no stiles, however sometimes it is muddy in places, so sensible footwear is recommended.

Refreshments will be available during the walk at Colwall Community Garden for a small charge.

The Colwall Orchard Heritage Trail leaflet will also be available to purchase for £2.
