In this session, you will:
consider what makes teaching materials suitable for CLIL
develop subject-centered teaching skills
learn ways to build content-specific vocabulary
explore how children’s literature can help young learners connect holistically, and meaningfully, with English.
Griselda Beacon holds an MA in Literature and Foreign Language Teaching from Philipps- Universität Marburg, Germany. A graduate EFL teacher, she delivers conferences on literature and foreign language learning and teacher training workshops in Argentina and abroad. A teacher trainer for Oxford University Press & NILE (Norwich Institute for Language Education) in the UK, she focuses on teaching young learners, CLIL for primary teachers, intercultural education and the development of critical and creative thinking skills in the EFL Class through the use of literary texts and visual media.
