Event description
Choral Workshop led by Caius Lee (Neville Burston Organ Scholar St Catharine’s College, Cambridge).

About this Event

Singers of all ages and abilities are warmly welcome to join us for what promises to be an enjoyable and rewarding day learning Faure’s Requiem on Saturday 15th February. Join members of St Catharine’s College Music Society, under the direction of Caius Lee for the second 'Come and Sing', back by the request of singers from last year's concert accompanied by the combined orchestras of University of Cambridge Philharmonic and Trumpington Street. There will also be the World Premiere of ‘Libera Me’ by finals student Richard Woods Rogan.

This event is open to anyone with some experience singing and reading music. We will be using the Novello editions of the Requiem - bring your own copy if you can (so you can mark your score!). Copies of Cantique Je Racine and Libera Me will be provided on the day. Both the rehearsal and the concert will take place in the McGrath Centre at St Catharine’s College - there will be helpers on the day to help you find it!

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parent or guardian, who must remain present to act as a chaperone at all times.

Proceeds from this event will be distributed between St Catharine’s College Music Societies outreach tour to North Yorkshire and Awards for Young Musicians. Please see the bottom of the page for more details about both causes.
