Description

On 7th April, we will be holding a fullday workshop culminating in the evening performance of Mozart's requiem. Join members of Halstead and District Choral society for an uplifting day of musical exploration and friendship.This a fantastic opportunity to be coached by two of the U.K.'s leading vocal practitioners.


Chorus

Halstead and Dstrict Choral Society's award-winning musical director, James Davey (Chantage,Chandos Chamber Choir), will lead the CHORUS SESSIONS throughout the day and conduct the evening performance.

Chorus fee for full day, including a buffet lunch and light tea+ performance: £18

Soloists

Internationally acclaimed singer and vocal coach Sara Brimer Davey will be leading the MASTERCLASSES for the four quartets:

  • Tuba mirum
  • Recordare
  • Domine Jesu
  • Benedictus

Each masterclass will run for a minimum of an hour and will be limited to a maximum of three singers per voice part, making Sara's tuition very personal. For just £30 you will have an amazing opportunity to sing in the masterclass, chorus workshop and the opportunity to sing in the final performance.

Please note the final selection for each quartet in the performance will be made on the day by Sara Brimer Davey.We expect masterclass attendee to come note ready for their selected quartet.

Cost for these limited places( inc. performance and chorus wokshop, buffet lunch and light tea) is £30.

Audience

If you want to come along and see the results of a hard day's reheasing, you are welcome, and it only cost a fiver!

The performance starts at 5.30p.m.and should finish before 7p.m.

All refreshments and copies of the score ( Novello Edition) are included in the ticket price, but you may wish to bring your own score and a bottle of water.
