About this Event
Come Find Us is a seasonal programme aimed to bring attention to the often overlooked cultural activities happening in the area of Mabgate at the northeastern periphery of the city centre. Come Find Us brings you an exciting and diverse range of exhibitions, late-night openings, gigs and much more.
Now in its third year, with tours regularly bringing over 50 participants and new audiences each month, it is an event not to be missed!
Below you will find the itinerary for our guided tour, which will give you special insight into the events happening in the evening. The meeting point is 6:30 pm inside The Old Red Bus Station - just look for the tour guide wearing the Come Find Us sash!

Friday 6th December 2019 - Tour Itinerary
Tour meeting point / 6:30 - 7:00 pm / The Old Red Bus Station
Meeting at 6:30 pm just look out for the tour guide wearing the CFU sash. The tour will leave promptly at 7:00 pm after a swift drink and mingle.
A Slice of the Cake by Bruce Risdon / 6:30 - 7:00 pm / The Old Red Bus Station
An exhibition of paintings by Bruce Risdon, where traditional figurative painting is given a contemporary twist. Featuring the above painting which is entitled "My Friend John in his Batman Thong"
Colour by Numbers / 7 - 7:30 pm / The Leeds Print Workshop
An exhibition of print infused with statistics and numerical data by Nat Searle presents a selection of her screen prints. Nat works in a stripped back graphic style, playing with colour, scale, and shape to express ideas. Resulting works can appear minimalist in nature, however often carry messages of weighty issues. Most of the works in this exhibition have been inspired by headlines, conservation issues and perception, and her research into the numbers behind them.

We are super excited to be getting a chance to see printer and designer Laura Slaters studio in Mabgate Mills, a chance to meet Laura and see were she works and here all about her latest exhibition at Colours May Vary and her recent collaboration with Ikea.
CLAY: The Clay Gap / 8:20 - 8:50pm / CLAY (Centre of Live Art Yorkshire)
The first (of many) CLAY Gap events. Nothin goin' on but the rent… and an opportunity to look around the venue since there relaunch and here about there latest program.
The Vege-Table / Fortress talk / 8:50 - 9:20pm / Byron Street Mills
Another opportunity to feast on the vegan delight for offer at Vege-table and hear from their owner Simon about there latest creative venture Fortress.
