About this event

Life can feel overwhelming, leading to stress and emotions building up inside us like a pressure cooker. Eventually this will show up in our body in ways that create ill health, poor sleep, emotional dysregulation and other psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual ways that hinder our lives. The good news is, you can change this with the power of your breath and embodiment practices.

Breathwork is a powerful tool to help navigate these challenges. It’s a natural, accessible way to calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and bring you back to the present moment. By using intentional breathing patterns, you can shift your emotional state, allowing built-up tension and suppressed emotions to surface and be released in a safe and supported way.

What to expect:

This intimate two-hour workshop provides a space where each participant receives the attention they need to feel safe and supported throughout the experience. In this small group setting (maximum 5 people), you will be guided through breathwork techniques that help to unlock stored tension, release stress, and cultivate a deep sense of relaxation and clarity.

1 hour of the workshop will be focused on doing conscious connected breathwork. Please read the 'Waiver' below to see possible effects in participating in this method of breathing.

Can anyone attend?

It’s important to note that breathwork is a powerful practice, and while it offers incredible benefits, it may not be suitable for everyone in its most intense form. Certain medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, or cardiovascular issues, may require adjustments to the practice. If you have any health concerns, I encourage you to reach out beforehand so we can discuss any necessary modifications, ensuring the experience is safe and supportive for you. Please see the list of contra-indications listed below.

ABOUT CLARE

It wasn't until I became a mum that I realised how much I needed to heal old wounds that I had suppressed. I began a journey of researching and doing course after course to understand myself and human behaviour; something that has always fascinated me.

I always loved working with people. Before becoming a parent I was a Learning and Development Advisor for over 10 years, gaining many skills with behaviours and learning styles. Then I began reading lots of different books about psychology and CBT and understanding the brain (I geek out about the brain). I became a Clinical Hypnotherapist and gained different certifications in this field, but something still didn't 'feel' right within.

That's when I discovered somatic work (yoga) and breathwork in 2020. I went on a journey of discovery, by practising yoga, sometimes crying during a session. Then I did a breathwork session online and experienced the most profound moment within my body. But my search for doing a breathwork training course didn't start until 2022. Fast forward to February 2024, where I began my 7 month training in Body and Breathwork (trauma-informed) with Evolve Breath and Body in London by Natalie Keany.

My first experience of the conscious connected breathwork practice made me realise what the missing piece of the puzzle was to my own healing with trauma. During the 7 month training program, I continued to feel my feelings, which allowed me to build emotional resilience/regulation and self-awareness, understand my nervous system, feel connected to my body, become empowered, learn and understand my patterns that were holding me back from experiencing joy and being me! Amongst many other growing benefits, that continue to unfold as time goes on.

During our training we had different case studies to practice holding sessions both individually and in groups; in-person and online. This has enhanced and elevated my skills to support people with whatever they need at any given moment in time. I love how I have learnt the importance of a trauma-informed approach, which I bring nto this beautiful practice. And I enjoy giving you the skills you need in order to regulate your nervous system, become aware of how your body feels and what breathing techniques you can utitlise as a toolkit to enhance your wellbeing.

I'm currently doing the Advanced training with Evolve Breath and Body with Natalie Keany leading to a 2 year program.

You can find out more about my credentials on my website if you wish to know more about me.

If you are ready to explore, discover and be curious about how your breath and body can help you, book your spot on a workshop today.

I look forward to holding space for you.

Warmest wishes,

Clare
