Why not book a free ticket to get out on the water at Bolton's Friendliest Club on Bank Holiday Monday, 29th August?

About this event

We believe that Delph Sailing Club is the Friendliest Sailing Club in Bolton.

Our wonderful volunteer run club sits on the edge of the Pennine Moors with epic views towards Manchester.

We have regular sailing throughout the year and our in house team of nearly 20 coaches and instructors can help get you and your family sailing regardless of whether you have ever sailed before or not. If you can already sail we offer improver training throughout the year and we have a range of club boats that can be borrowed by members.

On our open day we can give you a taste of what our fantastic club is all about. You will get a trip in one of our training boats with an experienced sailor and you may even experience a thrilling on the water transfer in one of our powerboats!

All you need to do is select a time slot, book your tickets and then turn up (no need to print off your tickets, your name will be on the guest list). You will need to bring some clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet and we will provide you with a buoyancy aid.

Anyone who decides to join our club will also get 2023 included in their membership. Bonus ball!

We are looking to run beginner courses in September through to May at the club or The Anderton Centre in Rivington depending on the demand. These course always fill up fast so if you snooze, you may well lose.

As a volunteer club, all active members are expected to help with duties 3 or 4 times a year and this may include driving a powerboat. We offer all members, aged 12 and over, the chance to take part in a subsidised Powerboat course at The Anderton Centre in the winter.

We are a volunteer run club and all members are required to help out, so if you fancy being part of something bigger than yourself, why not join today?

We look forward to meeting you and your family.
