Steve Royle

As well as his own BBC series Comedy Shuffle with Rob Rouse he can be seen on The Friday Night Project, Daves One Night Stand, Celebrity Juice, 8 out of 10 Cats and Spoons and recently played Mike in the first series of the BBC3 sitcom Grown Ups.

As well as stunning good looks, Steve has a marvellous sense of humour, as that last sentence proves. He’s an actor, writer, comedian, juggler, and a “Gillard Award” winning presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire. His Saturday morning 9am til 11am show means he is now a treat for both cochlea and cornea alike.

Steve most recently performed 16 nights at The Manchester Arena as part of the “Phoenix Nights Live” show, helping raise well over £5million in the process. He also appeared at the London Palladium twice within a month last year when he performed as part of the TV show “Sunday Night At The Palladium” and as warm-up for “One Night With Neil Diamond”.

Steve’s TV credits include “Phoenix Nights”, “Max And Paddy’s Road To Nowhere”, “Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got The Pop Factor…”, “Stand-up Britain”, “Give Your Mate A Break”, “The Afternoon Show”, “Talk Of The North”, a “Real Radio” advert. He is also a favourite on the live circuit and a regular headline act at The Comedy Store.

He spent many years as “Special Guest” on Dave Spikey’s Tours and has supported several other top comedic names including Peter Kay, Mick Miller, Roy Walker and The Lancashire Hotpots! He was also the first comic, ever, to act as “Warm-up” for The Royal Variety Show featuring Take That, Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow and Meatloaf.

He is also a regular Television “warm-up” for programs such as “The Rob Brydon Show”, “A Question Of Sport”, “Mastermind” and has done over 150 episodes of “The Price is Right”.

Steve’s first love, however, is Stand-Up and it is a job that has taken him all over the world: Cruises in the Med, Norwegian Fjords and the Caribbean, hotels and comedy clubs in Hong Kong, Dubai, Crete, Japan and Egypt.

For over 12 years Steve could be found in the guise of “Mad Edgar” the court jester at Camelot theme park where he presented over 2000 “Crazy Juggling Shows”.

Steve has appeared in pantomime every year for the last 18 seasons, 13 of them at The Blackpool Grand Theatre.

Tony Vino

Preston’s very own funnyman. Tony Vino (**** The Scotsman) has been touring the comedy scene since early 2005. Well aware of social and political issues he mixes friendly well thought out observational humour with audience interaction and quick witted responses. A finalist in 2006 Funny Bones competition, Tony has enjoyed recognition as a comedian and comedy compere of renown. His life and interests are wide ranging and so is the subject matter he weaves together on stage.

“Such a class act” Sorted Magazine

“Tony Vino makes me laugh on and off stage. He’s always funny and has some of the same letters as my name”. Tim Vine
