COMEDY OF TERRORS is ...
A pie in the eye of misery. The world is chock full of the stuff. Sometimes it’s cry - or
laugh. Let’s laugh. For an hour or so.
COMEDY OF TERRORS is...
Identical twins - one good, one evil? Check!
Terrible jokes? You got ‘em
Masks, disguises, mistaken identity? Yup, yup, yup.
Fairy godmother? Sort of.
Murders? Maybe.
COMEDY OF TERRORS is....
Two sisters - Angela (the ‘G’ as in good) and Tangela (the ‘G’ as in not so good)
Joint rulers - since the mysterious deaths of their parents in a mysterious freak circus
accident - of a not so far away realm in the southwest.
Tangela bears grudges -big time. Against anything and anyone. Dogs, trees – they
make a mess, all teachers (one of them flunked her at drama school) but especially her
goody two shoes sister. Angela? Too popular. Angela? Too kind. Angela must
therefore go. And is duly deposed and disposed of. By her two henchmen –by her
kind-hearted and incompetent henchmen.
Tangela is not liked and wants to be liked. Big time. Not popular and she wants to be
that. Big time. Something’s needed. A diversion - a scapegoat.
The people in the neighbouring realm across the river? They’ll do nicely. ‘The people
from across the water’, Tangela calls them. Invaders, she calls them. Really? Speak
funny, she says. Really? Even worse they claim they invented the pasty. Tangela claims. That means war. Really?
Who can put a stop to all this nonsense?
Who to push back against the Tangela regime?
And, anyway, is there a way forward?
A way back? A way ahead?
Only one way to find out!
