Event description

Description

When someone is sent to prison, their family members can be faced with lots of changes, both practically and emotionally.

When they are released from prison, this can also have a significant effect on their family emotionally, practically, and financially.

This year's Prison Visitors' Centre Conference will look at the issues and concerns of families pre-release, the direct support available to them post-release, and the gaps that need to be filled to ensure they receive the support they need.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Andrew McLellan, Chair of the National Prison Visitors' Centre Steering Group

  • Wendy Sinclair-Gieben, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons for Scotland

  • Nancy Loucks, Chief Executive at Families Outside
