Psychiatric drugs are prescribed to millions, often with little discussion of what they actually do, how long they should be taken, or how difficult withdrawal can be. In this workshop, Anders Sørensen - clinical psychologist, researcher, and author of "Crossing Zero: The Art and Science of Coming Off - and Staying Off - Psychiatric Drugs" - explores what the science really tells us about psychiatric medication, why withdrawal is so often misunderstood as relapse, and how safe, gradual tapering can open the door to a renewed connection with life beyond medication.

Drawing on a decade of clinical work and research, Anders will not only address the technical aspects of tapering, but also the emotional and existential challenges that can emerge when medication is reduced; from resurfacing trauma reactions to the return of powerful emotions and difficult thoughts. Central to his work is the role of psychotherapy and psychosocial support in helping people navigate this process, manage vulnerability, and find new ways of living with meaning and resilience.

A CPD certificate for 2 hours will be available after the workshop.
