Coming Out & Creating a LGBT inclusive environment
Event Information
Description
InterEngineering Midlands and Cundall are pleased to announce that we are partnering to deliver a unique event exploring the LGBT community, with the concept of designing an LGBT inclusive environment.
The event is exploring how the built environment can have an impact on a person’s wellbeing. LGBT+ can be confusing, so a basic introduction to what it is, and some of the key concepts and considerations are made. Leading into some personal stories around coming out as LGBT, and some of the challenges. The event is intended to be a light introduction to improving the lives of LGBT (the environments we live, how to support us etc). The format will be speaker talks with a panel discussion. Hopefully learning something new that sparks new ideas and understanding.
The event is an opportunity to learn about the LGBT community, and to contribute to shaping the environments that we live within. It would be of interest to those in the construction industry, the LGBT community, Students, HR professionals, those that want to understand more about the LGBT community, and those in Academia.
Speakers are coming from National Grid (Melanie Jackson), Airbus (Rob Hurley) and Rolls-Royce (Sarah Gould).
