Communications: let's talk about it.
CommFlab is a monthly meetup for communications and marketing professionals. An opportunity to network, share ideas and generally have a good chit-chat about the industry.
Our aim is to keep things nice and informal. No PowerPoint presentations, no minutes, no action points. ‘Networking, not working’ as the saying goes.
This is our first ever CommFlab session, being held in the Club Rooms at the Book Cafe (first floor). Please note there is no lift.
The (loose) agenda for the evening:
6pm – arrive and mingle
6.30pm – a CommFlab with… Mark Saxby, founder of social media agency Status Social and former news editor at BBC Radio Derby, on how to get what you want from journalists – whether through social media or more traditional routes
7.10pm – ‘ask the audience’ - a chance for CommFlabbers to crowd-source ideas and solutions
7.30pm – more mingle
8pm – carriages.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The nearest parking is just a few minutes’ walk away – at the Assembly Rooms car park. Derby bus station is also only a few minutes on foot.
