Commons and Upland Farming on Dartmoor Study Day.

Hosted by Mr. Colin Abel, Dartmoor farmer and Chair of Peter Tavy and the Forest of Dartmoor Commons.
This event will include a presentation from Colin on the farm followed by a walk up onto Peter Tavy Great Common. The event will be based indoors for the first part of the morning, followed by an outdoor look around the farm. The afternoon will be spent outdoors and will involve some mildly strenuous walking in what are generally unpredictable Dartmoor conditions. There is the potential for inclement weather.
Unfortunately the event may prove unsuitable for those of limited mobility. Please advise in advance of any medical condition that you feel we may need consider.
Please ensure you are wearing adequate clothing suitable for outdoor conditions and inclement weather.

Mr and Mrs. Abel will kindly provide refreshments of tea, coffee and cake in the morning. Please bring a packed lunch.
