Event description
From "new" audiences to new techniques, come and explore communications in a post-mainstream world.

About this Event

How did the podcast kill the radio star? How do you report truth in a fake news world? Are PR agencies too old school for the new school? Who is the new female consumer? And the new man?

From Black Twitter to the rise of platforms like gal-dem, from fighting fake news to challenging Brexit one tweet at a time, the first BME PR Pros conference will explore “new” audiences, new platforms and new communication techniques.

Keynotes will be delivered by Liv Little (gal dem), Samira Ahmed (journalist & broadcaster), Femi Oluwole (Our Future, Our Choice) and David Levin (That Lot) with additional speakers including:

  • Ronke Lawal, PR Consultant, Founder of Ariatu PR (conference facilitator)
  • Arvind Hickman, News Editor, PRWeek
  • Jessica Hope, Founder & MD, Wimbart
  • Lang Xiao, Founder & Director, ARTouch Consulting
  • Daljit Bhurji, CEO & Co-founder, Diffusion
