Communicate - the 2025 DC Comms Conference

Welcome to this year's gathering of the Church of England's communicators! Join us at St George's Church in Leeds for a day filled with inspiring talks, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities.

Get ready to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from industry experts, and leave feeling motivated and empowered.

Lunch and refreshments included, kindly sponsored by Ecclesiatical Insurance.

There will be three workshops running in the afternoon - you will have a choice to attend two of these. Please choose your workshops when you book your ticket.

Workshops

  • How to use AI tools in your everyday work with Ruvimbo Makumbe, Digital Labs.
  • What do you do when going to church feels like going to work? With Alexandra Zhirnova, Everyday Faith editor and (by video) Andrew Caspari, Diocesan Secretary at the Diocese of Europe.
  • How we grew our 25K plus following on TikTok with Rev David Sims (@tiktok vicar), Rev Pippa White (@not_a_priestess) and Arun Kataria, Dircetor of Comms, Diocese of Lichfield.

Frequently asked questions

Who can attend?

All communications and marketing staff of Church of England Cathedrals, Dioceses and National Church Institutions.

What's planned?

We will have a mixture of talks, stories and workshops, see the line-up below. A Conference Guide will also be ready soon for you to find out more.

What are the timings?

We're looking to open the venue from 9am for refreshments, with our first session starting at 10am and we aim to close at 4.30pm. There will be optional dinners both before and after the event. More details will be added to the DC Handbook.

How do I get to the conference?

The conference will be held at St George's Church in Leeds city centre - a 14 minute walk from the train station. We've created a handy guide with more info on public transport, parking nearby hotels and restaurants, you can view it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WAp6XZMe9kGf4WxMolOtFhrEQr5F

I can't make it, will this be recorded?

Unfortunately no, this will be an in-person event only but we can provide slides. These will be made available on the DC Handbook.

Any hotel recommendations?

There's a few budget hotels nearby - take a look at the suggestions in the handy guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WAp6XZMe9kGf4WxMolOtFhrEQr5FFsE7/view?usp=drive_link
