Event description

Description

*A new course from Media Trust*

There are nearly 3.5 million volunteers in England and Wales. With such a huge number of people interested in getting involved with good causes, you need to be in a position to harness this resource and ensure that they choose to support your organisation.

Good communication is key to encouraging and inspiring your volunteers at every stage of the volunteer journey. Ensure that your organisation, beneficiaries and volunteers themselves are getting the most out of the work they do for you though planning your communications with them in mind.

At this course you will learn to:

  • Plan your communications: from recruitment to follow up with former volunteers, you’ll get an understanding of how to plan your communications across the whole volunteer journey
  • Understand your volunteers: start profiling your potential and existing volunteers and learn how to use this information to shape your messages and tone
  • Decide on channels: get a full picture of online and offline platforms for communications so that you can choose which will be best for you and your volunteers

This course is ideal for you if you are new to volunteer management or don’t have a structured approach to volunteer communications in place.

Why not make a day of it? Book yourself or a colleague onto the morning session, Digital PR, and get 15% off each session. Email trainingandevents@mediatrust.org to take advantage of this offer.

VAT will be charged at 20%.

You can book online now with a card, by invoice (see 'other payment options at the bottom of the next page) or by calling us on 020 7871 5600.
