Communication Circle Workshop
Mon 29 May 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
When we communicate well with someone, it is a great feeling - we are in sync, on the same page, we are 'in relationship' ...and when we aren't able to communicate well it doesn't feel so great.
In this workshop we will look at -
-What 'in relationship' communication is
-What happens when we are having trouble communicating
-Tools for remaining centred in communication
-Tools for listening, hearing what people have to say
-Tools for speaking, clearly delivering your message
-Rehearsal time, putting what we will learn into practice
Who is the workshop for? -
This workshop is for anyone looking to strengthen their communications skills in everyday life, or connecting and communicating with a toddler, a teen, a colleague, a partner or even a friend on-line. A good set of communication tools will apply to every age.
We ask that families attend workshops separately please, this way you get to focus on building up your skills, separate from any daily issues. Workshops are held in groups no larger than ten people, we aim to hold a peaceful and safe setting to share and learn with each other.
This is a day workshop, running from 10.00 am- 3.30pm.
Includes refreshments and a light lunch.
"Being listened to is so close to being loved that most people cannot tell the difference"
- David Augsberger
This workshop has come about because often I have been able to share an effective communication ‘tool' I have learned along the way, and find that it also works for others. I’ve gathered ‘tools’ from many years in hospitality, 8 years in marketing, seven years raising two dynamic children with Piklerian ideas, and running two organisations where dealing with people respectfully, kindly and ‘in relationship’ is core to the operation. Now is the time to share useful tools in a workshop aimed at getting a real understanding of how to use these tools.
