This training is designed for professionals and frontline workers who may come into contact with Deaf or deafblind clients, particularly in settings such as domestic abuse services, safeguarding, health and social care, and support work.
We will explore how to communicate effectively, understand the importance of asking whether a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter or a Lip Speaker is needed, and how to confidently book an interpreter using the right procedures. You’ll also learn where to find qualified interpreters, how to plan ahead, and why booking early is essential.
Please note: This is a non-refundable ticket.
